Obituary

Dean Spencer Evans passed away on March 27, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness. Dean was born on December 16, 1936 to Dean S. Evans Sr. and Lillian F. Evans in Thermopolis, WY. He was preceded in death by his father Dean in 1941 and his mother Lillian in 1996. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lenora A. Evans, daughter DeAnn Scanlan of Ephrata, son Dean Evans III of Moses Lake, daughter Dawn Prince of Ephrata, daughter Carol Ruele of Twin Falls, ID and brother Donald Evans of Port Angeles, WA. He is also grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Dean resided in Thermopolis Wyoming until shortly after the death of his father and then moved to Spokane, WA. with his mother and brother where he remained until 1976. He resided in Moses Lake, Mansfield, Brewster, and finally retired to Soap Lake in 2003.
Dean’s favorite activity was camping every year with his family. After defeating cancer in 2008 he had a clearer outlook on life and came to accept Jesus as his Savior. He spent his remaining years at peace and devoted to his family.
We will all miss him greatly and wish we could have had more time with him, but will treasure especially our last 4 years with him.
