Obituary

Frederick Zomer, 87, of Honey Brook, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Golden Living Center, Reading.
He was the loving husband of Alberdine "Dee" Vandersleen Zomer. They were married March 4, 1953.
Born in Hoogeveen, a municipality in the Netherlands, he was the son of the late Dirk and Antge Otten Zomer.
He was a farmer his whole life, and enjoyed woodworking.
He was a member of the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Arleen Zomer of Honey Brook and Ann Heerschop of Ontario, Canada; two brothers and a sister in the Netherlands; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Frederick is predeceased in death by a daughter, Jenny Zomer; and a grandson, John Frederick Heerschop.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, PA 19344, with Pastor William J. Wisneski officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the church at the above address in memory of Frederick Zomer.
