Kimberly L. "Kim" Schneider of Phoenixville, born July 22, 1961, daughter of Patricia A. Fox, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, in Bradenton, Florida, while vacationing on Anna Maria Island with her two children. Kim had courageously battled for two years in an effort to overcome breast cancer.

Kim was a 1979 graduate of Downingtown High School and Bucks County Community College. She was employed by Downingtown National Bank for 30 years and was most recently employed at GMAC, Mortgage Division.

In addition to her mother, Kim is survived by her son, John (Jack) and her daughter, Kaitlin. Her children were the two greatest joys of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Robert, his wife, Melanie and son, Cody; and her brother, Stephen, his wife, Chris and daughter, Kelsey and son, Justin; her grandmother, Eleanor Lownes, and her cousin, caregiver and friend, Jennifer Lownes, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother, Brian and her grandfather, Samuel (Bud) Lownes.

Kim loved helping others, and over the years gave generously of her time and talents. Whether it was volunteering for Special Olympics or March of Dimes, helping with her children's athletic teams and other school activities, or baking for someone in need, her light always shone the brightest when she was offering a helping hand.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, and at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Glenmoore.
