Obituary

Donald A. Jones Age 62 of Mars, PA, died Monday afternoon, July 24, 2000 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA after an illness. Born in Collingdale, PA on August 3, 1937, he was the son of Sarah Jones of Toms River, NJ and the late Horace Jones. Mr. Jones was retired in 1999 as a Senior Vice-President and District One Sales Manager for Mellon Bank, where he had worked for 45 years in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Delaware areas. He enjoyed golf, sports, theatre, movies and spending time with family. Surviving are his wife and high school sweetheart, Janet McMackin Jones to whom he was married for 43 years; his mother; 4 sons, Donald A. Jones, Jr. of Greenwood Village, CO, Kenneth T. Jones of Berwyn, PA, Robert S. Jones of Newark, DE and Steven D. Jones of West Chester, PA. He was the father-in-law of Kim, Rene, Deborah and Kristen Jones. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Amber, Nikki, Caitlin, Andrew, Rachel, Amanda and Elizabeth Jones; 1 brother, Richard Jones of Manahawkin, NJ; and 1 sister, Mrs. James (Janet) Yocum of West Chester, PA. Visitation at Fairview Presbyterian Church, Fairview Rd., Glenmoore, Chester Co., PA will be Saturday from 9-11 am. Service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
