Cornelia E. Borror of Downingtown Cornelia E. “Anne” Borror, 83, of Downingtown, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Brandywine Hall Care Center. She was the wife of the late James J. Borror, sharing 42 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2004. Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ransom John Charles Edwards and Annie Maria McFadyen Edwards. Anne was a 1950 graduate of Memminger High School, Charleston. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Meredith College in North Carolina. After college, Anne worked as a teacher, both in the United States and in Germany where she taught children of U.S. servicemen. She then married James and spent many years as a homemaker, raising her family and taking care of her home. For several years she also served as director of Christian education at Central Presbyterian Church. Anne enjoyed her time spent with friends and family within her church community and she was an avid reader. Anne is survived by her son, John J. Borror and his wife Patricia, of Downingtown, and grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsey Borror, both of Downingtown. She is also survived by her dear cousin, Betty Kastner, of Charleston, SC, who was like a sister to her. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Gene Edwards. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Fairview Presbyterian Church, 800 Fairview Road, Glenmoore, PA 19343, where family and friends may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery immediately following the service.
