Mildred D. Harrop of Milroy, Pa. Mildred D. Harrop, 91, died Sat., June 1, 2013, at Golden Living Center - William Penn, Lewistown. She was the wife of the late David R. Harrop Sr. who died Aug. 11, 1996. She was born Jan. 31, 1922 in Lyndell, daughter of the late Robert B. Davis Sr. and the late Myrtle R. (Roberts) Davis. Mildred was a 1940 graduate of Downingtown High School. She was a member and deacon of the Milroy Presbyterian Church and the Philathea Sunday school class, a member of the State Grange, and the Ladies Auxillary of the Siglerville Men's Club. She enjoyed cooking big meals. She is survived by her children, Susan Klein and husband Michael of Allentown, N.J., Robert D. Harrop and wife Janel of Milroy, Ernest A. Harrop Sr. and wife Sonieta of Milroy, David R. Harrop and wife Linda of Milroy and Daniel R. Harrop and wife Billie Jo of Milroy; also seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchilren. She was preceded in death by siblings, Robert B. Davis Jr. and Roberta M. Davis. Mildred was the last of her immediate family. Her funeral service will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Milroy Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert L. Zorn officiating. No viewing. Interment, Fairview Presbyterian Cemetery, Glenmoore. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Milroy Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 394, Milroy, PA 17063.
