Obituary

Thomas W. Reber of Glenmoore Thomas W. Reber, 85, of Glenmoore, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at the Neighborhood Hospice Unit in West Chester, following an illness. He was born in Chester County on June 4, 1928, the son of the late Frank and Alice (Smith) Reber. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Burgess) Reber, who passed away in July of 2001. Thomas was a retired custodian for the Downingtown School District, prior to that he worked for Downingtown Paper Mill. He proudly served his country, during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Thomas served as Fire Chief of the Glenmoore Fire Company from 1964 to 1965 and 1971 to 1978. He enjoyed traveling to the beach. Thomas is survived by two sons, Thomas Reber of Front Royal, Va. and Donald Reber of Glenmoore; three daughters, Darlene Wilton of West Chester, Linda Pizzi of Downingtown, and Wendy Petrondi of New Providence; a sister, Laura Mae Harple of Glenmoore. There are two grandchildren, Kristin Wilton and Jimmy Petrondi. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16th, from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, with Chaplain Phil Cherry officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
