Obituary

John R. Schrack passed away at home on July 8, 2022 surrounded by his family. John was the loving husband of Diane Franciscus Schrack with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Born January 10, 1945 in Coatesville, PA. He was the son of the late Benjamin R. Schrack and Mildred E. Peace Schrack.

John served his country in the Army National Guard. He started his working years as a heavy equipment operator for H.L. Jacobs and Bituminous Service. After that John landed his dream job as a tractor trailer driver with LG Industries/RV Industries where he made numerous lifelong friends. He retired in 2019 after 45 years of service.

John was a member of Wagontown Union Chapel. He was a life member of the Wagontown Volunteer Fire Co. and the West End Fire Co. #3. John served on the West Caln Township Zoning Board and was a past member of the Draggin’ Wagons Car Club.

John enjoyed all things about cars (racing, repairing, attending car shows, driving his Corvette). He also enjoyed the many years spent at his vacation home at the Jersey Shore, country line dancing, working around his home and maintaining the family farm for many years. John truly enjoyed his weekend meetings with his special Brother-In-Law and friends for coffee and conversation and going to dinner with his friends.

In addition to his wife Diane, he is survived by daughter DeAnn Schrack (Tom Leslie Jr.) and sister Marie Schrack Powell. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Ann Nolan.

Funeral Services will be held on July 14, 2022 at 12:00 noon with a time of visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at the Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home 339 W. Kings Hwy Coatesville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s memory to the Wagontown Union Chapel, P.O. Box 200, Wagontown, PA 19376 or the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.

Interment will follow the service at Fairview Presbyterian Cemetery, Glenmoore, PA.
